PCFSC: #21; Ducklings

I redid this manicure at least 3 times because feathers are quite hard to use. At first, I tried cutting the feathers then placing them on my nails but it just fell apart in my hand. I then placed the feather from my cuticles, facing them towards the tip but cutting it was too hard and it lost it's shape when it was cut. Finally I figured that I had to start from the tip and make the feathers face the cuticle... cutting was hard but it was a lot easier than it being at the cuticles and it kept it's shape.

I looked for yellow/orange feathers but they were either too hard or seem to not exist. Due to those reasons, I found a cheap feather boa from the $2 store which contained some natural looking fake feathers. They were easy to use and Sunny loved chasing the rest of it, lol.

Here's what I used:

  • O.P.I: Stranger Tides
  • Feathers

  1. That's GORGEOUS!! I've got some feathers in the mail right now, and am hoping to do a manicure like this. I got mine from Viva la Nails, and they've got a pretty decent selection of feathers for not too expensive!

  3. Looks great! I was thinking of using feathers from my own budgies to make one of these manicures.
