PCFSC: #22; Large Flowers

I actually did the challenge after this one first before coming back to this one. The Purple Crumpet Fairy Spring Challenge has a lot of flowers - I don't want all my flower manicures to look the same so this took a lot of thought. I went through the list a couple of times to see if I could recycle anything but I still couldn't think of anything special.

In the end I draw it from something that I own that I really like, which turns out to be my favourite shirt this summer. I changed the background and smaller flower's hues to orange because of the next challenge (background colours/base colour aren't that important in this case!) - you'll see in 2 days.

PCFSC: #3; Small Flowers/Flower Bed

These flowers turned out to look very similar to the flowers on Spongebob Squarepants; it was not intentional but I'm rather happy that they came out well. I was going to place little "pearls" in the middle of each flower but decided that it was fine; simple but elegant.

This manicure was inspired by a Japanese woman who made three beautiful white acrylic flowers and placed them on her nude nails like a glorified french manicure.

PCFSC: #1; Valentine's/Love

New Zealand isn't much of a country that celebrates days like "holidays" such as Valentines. I had a bit of trouble thinking of ideas for today's challenge... the only real thing I know about Valentines is that it is the day of love. However, I did not want to make it too tacky with reds, pinks, and hearts so I decided on some Valentines candy which I saw on Futurama. They look unbelievably cute and vintage... surprise, surprise, New Zealand doesn't have them!

My "word painting" isn't very good... errr... yea. I'ma say this manicure is "Happy Un-Valentines" as it looks as if someone is plotting to kill someone with poisonous valentines candy. Hahaha.

I noticed that this manicure would have been awesome if I had this stamping plate; it's definitely wishlisted :)

Day Twenty-Eight: Inspired by a Flag

Watching bloggers pile in manicures for 4th of July is really fun. I've always wanted to join in the fun but it'll make no sense for me to do one considering that I'm not american and I've never been to America. I've just been admiring it from a distance, well I know it's not exotic or anything like that but most young people in New Zealand dream of either living in Europe, America or Australia... and well you can guess which one I am.

Not only is the American flag fun and covered in stars but the famous Uncle Sam's hat is also inspired by it. Isn't it just adorable? Unfortunately my french manicure didn't turn out just as cute - it's so hard using stickers and tape! (.. and I really do not recommend Eyeko Saucy)

Day Twelve : Stripe Nails

Last week I broke my arm and haven't really got used to it yet. I wanted to do a neat tape stripe manicure for this challenge but even when both my arms could freely move with a huge cast in the way... I sucked at tape manicures. Instead I resorted to freehand lines which I don't quite like - it reminds me of painting hard boiled eggs for easter ( and I was inspired by this springish background of stripes).

Also, the colour combination is something I didn't chose... It was the boyfriend's idea! He deliberately chose 5 colours that he thought would not go together just to troll me, *Shakes fist at him*

Day Ten : Gradient Nails

My boyfriend means the world to me and lately he's been getting semi involved with my nailpolish addiction although... it is a little out of hand. His favourite colours are red AND black - not red by itself or black by itself; They have to be together. I decided to go gradient on his favourite colours with glitter on top and the outcome was this vampy looking manicure.
