Swatch - athon: Colour Club Mini Pack in Mighty Brights

These set of mini polishes have been in my collection since around June of this year during a massive haul to keep me motivated with my studies. They were an impulse purchase... but who wouldn't want to spend $1 on something that is usually priced for $16+ and not to mention, rarely sighted.

This mini set composes of 4 bottles of 7mL (0.25Oz) of polish from the Flower Power Collection which consists of neon shades. The mini set, Mighty Brights, was released with the four best selling neons from the collection.

PCFSC: #38; Spring Sunset

My Spring Sunset nails for today is a bit abstract; the golden lines are sun rays and the black is the starry sky eating up the light. I really love how this came out and I can say without a doubt, this has to be my favourite nails of the entire challenge!

PCFSC: #36; What I love about Spring

As I have mentioned in the past; I live on a farm. It's not one of those animal farms, no, it's a fruit/vegetable farm. My mother is one of the best strawberry farmer ever - I'm not saying this because we're related but I'm saying this because it's completely true. She hand plants every single plant, hunt for bees to create a hive to pollinate them and then spends hours in the hot spring-summer sun picking each berry (even if it rains heavily or when she had severe Carpal Tunnel Syndrome). She's honestly amazing.

The strawberries always turn out tiny at first but jammed packed with flavour but as the season progress, they can get up to a size where you can only fit a maximum or 4-5 in your palm and still have enough sweetness to make you semi choke. I especially love ours because not only are they sweet but they're also "crisp" - they don't feel as slimey nor soft like the supermarket ones. Our strawberries are always ready to be picked around November (that's the last month of Spring down here) and I always look forward to packing them into little plastic chips because I can eat as many as I want, tehehee.

However, mummsy has retired from the strawberry farm early last year (good thing she did, it was way too much hard work for her) but it still reminds as the thing that I love the most about Spring!

PCFSC: #35; Ticker Tape Parade

You would NOT believe the amount of new words and events that I have learn during the Purple Crumpet Spring Challenge. This was another thing that I had absolutely no clue on - I am so glad that we have google in our modern world.

I would really love to be in one of these parades one day, they look so fun!

PCFSC: #34; Light

When I think of light, I think of shiny things and either the colour white or yellow. My nails may look like snow but they're actually things that represent light to me.... although snow is almost here, I hope!

PCFSC: #30; Easter Bonnets

I've never hear of an "Easter Bonnet" in my life - I thought they'll be more like those lady bonnets from long time ago where women did all the housework and men had most authory... luckily nowdays there's a handy little search engine called Google.

Google told me that Easter Bonnets are hats decorated with flowers and chicken which celebrates spring and easter for the Easter parade; they're also made from straw or knitted. This was my inspiration:

... Funny thing was, I was going to stamp on butterflies and roses then layer nail decals sticker on top but I had left my stamper and scrapper back at home! Oh my.

PCFSC: #29; April Fool's Day

The most horrible, messy nail art application and the challenge, April's Fools Day - Dark and Twisted... presents today's manicure... I can't believe that I actually willingly chose to watermarble!

I like watermarbling using Zoya's Sunshine Collection - gives all the colours a cute, irregular golden glass fleck effect without applying another polish with the same effect carefully on top. Spices it up :)

PCFSC: #28; Easter Bunnies

... Or should I say Easter West Highland Terriers, or something like that?

Either way, I still think they looks semi cute, haha, I can imagine them as slippers on my own feet for the cool fall weather that I'm enjoying so far! I hope it snows down here this year too; it'll be my first in snow :)

PCFSC: #27; Favourite Pastel Blue/Green

Originally, I was going to pick a pastel green for today's nails but after adding most of China Glaze's ElectroPop Collection in my own, from falling in love with Gaga for Green.. I chose a pastel blue instead. It's definitely a sweet colour with an exciting name and I would even go as far as saying that it is the prefect pastel blue ever, from both shade and formula!

I think you can tell how much I love it from the amount that it has been used in the last month (I would have been using my crummy franken if I didn't pick this polish up) or so for the Purple Crumpet Fairy Spring Challenge :)

PCFSC: #26; Buy your Easter Eggs!

Remember the Ducklings Nails for Challenge #21? I used "real-fake" feathers for it so today I wanted to use something similar but for Easter Eggs. I wanted to capture the look of those chocolates eggs as they are getting ripped opened and unwrapped, ready to nom on; the tin foil is meant to be in side of the foils around the eggs, the stripes is the decoration on the outside of the foil.

I don't buy Easter Eggs - I want to though... a massive hollow one that I'll get sick off after the first 10 minutes but will last me for an entire week but my mum has always been really strict with candy but this year I don't live with her for Easter, yay!

PCFSC: #25; Spring Stripes

Everything about today's nails cries off "Spring is here" - I'm just surprised that it look me 25 challenges and near the end of the entire thing to find my spring pastels that already existed in my collection. Hahaha.

I think this looks like a baby room or shower on crack topped off with some gentle glitter.

PCFSC: #24; Butterflies

This type of nail art is a lot harder than it looks! It's exactly like the galaxy one, looks easy because it just looks so good but in reality, it's extremely difficult. I applaud those girls who are able to draw the black lines of the butterfly in a crisp, smooth manner, I am truly amazed and I definitely know I can't!

PCFSC: #23; Subtle Glitter/Flakie Bomb

I have no clue how to do either of those subtly, LOL! I'll try my best :)

I chose I Always Get My Man-drin because it has a very beautiful mint green shimmer and smells/look really springish. In the end I decided to use both flakie and glitter - however the flakie doesn't really stand up much in light colour and it's also really sparse in the polish. I guess I got the subtle part right!

This manicure was used for the challenge 2 days ago.

PCFSC: #22; Large Flowers

I actually did the challenge after this one first before coming back to this one. The Purple Crumpet Fairy Spring Challenge has a lot of flowers - I don't want all my flower manicures to look the same so this took a lot of thought. I went through the list a couple of times to see if I could recycle anything but I still couldn't think of anything special.

In the end I draw it from something that I own that I really like, which turns out to be my favourite shirt this summer. I changed the background and smaller flower's hues to orange because of the next challenge (background colours/base colour aren't that important in this case!) - you'll see in 2 days.

PCFSC: #21; Ducklings

I redid this manicure at least 3 times because feathers are quite hard to use. At first, I tried cutting the feathers then placing them on my nails but it just fell apart in my hand. I then placed the feather from my cuticles, facing them towards the tip but cutting it was too hard and it lost it's shape when it was cut. Finally I figured that I had to start from the tip and make the feathers face the cuticle... cutting was hard but it was a lot easier than it being at the cuticles and it kept it's shape.

I looked for yellow/orange feathers but they were either too hard or seem to not exist. Due to those reasons, I found a cheap feather boa from the $2 store which contained some natural looking fake feathers. They were easy to use and Sunny loved chasing the rest of it, lol.

PCFSC: #20; Spring Splatter

Ha! Yesterday I did a splatter manicure for my Robin's Egg nails... but after I did them, I saw that the Spring Splatter was up next, opps. Instead of the traditional splatter using a straw and some big breaths, I opted for hand drawn slime splatters. They're still splatters, aren't they? :)

PCFSC: #19; Bird Nest

I think the most beautiful bird egg in the world is the Robin's egg.

That blue shade of the eggs along with the black, brown and white specks makes... it indescribable. I mean if you were to google it right now, you'll be able to find more than just the egg itself but images of creative things that were inspired by the Robin's egg. Today is no different, my nails are also inspired by those eggs!

PCFSC: #18; Lambs

I automatically thought of "Counting Sheep" when I saw today's challenge, so just imaging this is a spring night, full of stars, with little baby lambs jumping a fence, Baahh!

PCFSC: #17; Bulb to a Flower

Remember the Spring Gradient manicure that I did 2 days ago for the Purple Crumpet Fairy Spring Challenge? Well I really had to think about today's nails but decided to recycle the gradient as part of a "symbolic" NOTD.. I actually thought a lot about how to explain it so here I go, lol

In USA.. and probably most northern hemisphere, they have a saying that goes "After April Showers comes May Flowers" which totally explains the glitters, haha. Along with that, I tried to play on the riddle  "What has 4 legs in the morning, 2 in the afternoon and 3 in the evening?" in the form of a flower; Bulb to a Flower.

I should had used a different colour for the flower but at the time I was painting it, I had read that the Long Headed Poppy blooms within the dawn and wilts during the day, interesting huh?
